SOIL SAMPLE ANALYSIS

Fertilizers are precious resources which should be applied with care – for the reduction of expenses as well as the minimization of environmental impact. An essential precondition is therefore the knowledge of plant available soil nutrients.

Currently, soil nutrient analysis is still mostly done by laboratory tests – a time consuming and expensive procedure, often not fast enough for immediate reaction.

iMETOS® MobiLab

iMETOS® MobiLab is the first mobile measurement tool allowing the simultaneous measurement of nitrate (no3), phosphate (p2o5)and potassium (k)concentrations with one portable device.

iMETOS® MobiLab offers low cost analysis results with no time delay forimmediate adaption of fertilizer programs.

The development of iMETOS® MobiLab originated from an interdisciplinary consortium of researchers (vienna university of technology (a), university bremen (d), university of warmia and mazury (pl) and isnow integrated into product development of Pessl Instruments.

The sensor bases on lab-on-a-chip technologies, scaling down laboratory technologies to compact portable devices.
