Long expected Satellite module will give FarmView users the possibility to take work with their data to the next level. They will now be able to combine satellite imagery with measured data from iMETOS stations and modules for a full integration of data visualization.
After successfully running business in Italy for 36 years, it was time to step up the game. We are proud to announce that METOS Italia Srl was born on March 19th, 2021. It will work as the main Pessl Instruments representative in Italy and will enable greater freedom in the market, along with the possibility to increase METOS’ territorial coverage, support the growth plan and strengthen the brand position in the market.

The Japanese beetle, Popillia japonica, is one of the worst invasive pests of North America. Costs to control the pest in the US exceed $450 million per year. The beetle was detected near Milano in 2014 and is now starting to spread in Europe. Together with 12 other partners, Pessl Instruments joined an IPM-Popillia project to address the problem and develop a solution for this pressing problem.

Metos USA, a US based affiliate of Pessl Instruments GmbH (Austria), has entered into an agreement with US telecommunications provider Paige Wireless to manufacture and customize hardware and smart-crop solutions for their innovative LoRaWAN network. Over the past few years, Paige Wireless has been tirelessly working to collaborate with local communities all throughout the Midwestern United States, establishing blanket coverage for their network across many areas currently underserved from other telecommunications sources.
