7-DAY WEATHER FORECAST OF ALL THE IMPORTANT METEOROLOGICAL VARIABLES, PLANT PROTECTION CONDITIONS, SPRAYING CLIMATE, FIELD ACCESSIBILITY, TILLAGE ABILITY, FERTILIZING EFFICIENCY, SOWING AND HARVESTING WINDOW ARE AVAILABLE IN REAL TIME.
An accurate 7-day weather forecast of all the important meteorological variables and relevant agronomic information – including plant protection, spraying climate, field accessibility, tillage ability, fertilizing efficiency, sowing and harvesting window – is calculated hourly from meteoblue, and is available whenever requested by the user in real time. The technology used for the weather forecast is the latest NMM (Numeric Mesoscale Model). Weather models simulate physical processes by dividing the world into small “grid-cells”. The temporal evolution of the model variables is calculated in a three-dimensional spatial grid. With iMETOS® station, systematic errors coming from the model can be removed with advanced statistical methods and nowcasting techniques. Measurement data series are required to produce significant results in locations.
NMM in more than 85% of cases achieves forecast precision, with less than 2°C hourly absolute error within the first 24 hours. After one year in the same place, system accuracy reaches 90% due to additional statistical methods like MOS (Model Output Statistics). For precipitation forecast, the expected accuracy will be well above 85% within the first 24 hours and above 90% in the next two hours.
